Montrose Veterans Memorial Ground Breaking Ceremony

At the April 20, 2026, Montrose City Council work session, MVMC board member Lance Bach highlighted the extraordinary support of Stryker Co. for the Veterans Memorial project. Joined by Director of Public Works Jim Scheid, he shared how this strong partnership is helping turn vision into reality.

Through donated time, leadership, and coordination of support from local citizens, businesses, City of Montrose , Montrose County, and the Colorado Army National Guard, Stryker Co. has become a driving force behind making this memorial possible. We would also like to thank Michael Hearn and Mark Clutts who have also made important contributions in helping move the project forward.
